Our Story

I've had the idea of Lando in my head for several years, having researched and then created the best and easiest methods to teach my own daughter, as she moved from being a toddler to starting school. Teaching her some of the more basic skills at a younger age than would be normal, purely because I could and to increase her confidence. I've seen her blossom in certain areas and dig her heels in others, and yes a 20min piece of work can take 2+ hours, you need a lot of patience! More on that in one of the blog posts to come.

Following a family tragedy earlier this year, I've taken my original idea and adjusted my business model to become a Living Legacy for my father George, who sadly committed suicide aged 77. The aim is to Make a Difference to as many children and adults lives around the world as possible.

To rip apart the old ways of learning and look at simplifying, breaking down into bite sized chunks then putting them back together, in a way that really works and can be easily applied, taking only 5-10 minutes a day. Little (5-10 minutes) and Often (ideally everyday or 4-5 times a week) to gradually build up and retain in a child's/adult's long term memory.

Furthermore to the Living Legacy theme, I've built up a Team of 8 Contributors (a KS2 Teacher/Head of Maths, a Musician/Composer, a Linguist/Opera Singer, a Children's Clothing Designer, an Artist, a potential future Children's Writer and Published Poet, an Educational Consultant and a Maths/Physics/Astronomy expert) who I hope will be able to follow their own dreams and aspirations via their input and the future successes of their own programmes, artwork and designs. Allowing them an additional forum to develop and build their own long term business' away from the Lando brand.

Finally

I've set up a Donation Page, the third and final element to the Living Legacy theme. I will personally be donating 12.5% of my Lando profits to helping change people I know lives, initially starting with just 6 (5 in the United Kingdom, 1 in Canada). However to make more of a difference and include more beneficiaries I've set up a donation page. Anyone who feels they would like to help start to Change Lives and Make a Difference can donate through the link. Unlike the majority of charities 100% of the donations go straight to the person, school, establishment or activity.

In addition to changing lives of individuals I will be looking to buy musical instruments for those who can't afford to hire or purchase their own, helping to build up school libraries... the list will grow as Lando grows...
