A former Scotland rugby union international and his wife are considering legal action against their local council to allow all three of their children to be educated at the same school.
Alasdair Strokosch moved back to Scotland with his wife, Kirsty, and their children this year after he had spent six years playing in France. They moved to East Renfrewshire because the area’s schools are the best performing in Scotland’s state sector.
However, Strokosch, 35, who won 47 Scotland caps and is a coach with Edinburgh, has been told that his daughter Laila, eight, cannot attend Eaglesham Primary because of pressure on spaces, despite the family living in the village.
